IECEx Assemblies added to ExVeritas Scope
IECEx have updated the list of accredited IECEx Certification Bodies to include bodies accredited for the certification of assemblies of electrical equipment under the IECEx scheme.
A new document has been published ‘DS 2015/001A: IECEx Assessment and Certification of Equipment assemblies, that ensures Certification Bodies have the internal competence and resources to inspect assemblies of electrical equipment to standards including (but not limited to) EN60079-14.
About The IEC, IECEx and IECEx Assemblies
In addition to the preparation of International Standards, the IEC facilitates the operation of Conformity Assessment Systems. One such System is the IECEx System. The objective of the IECEx System is to facilitate international trade in equipment and services for use in explosive atmospheres, while maintaining the required level of safety. IECEx is one of the most rigorous certification schemes available with only a small number of highly regulated Certification Bodies (who are also Nationally recognised Certification Bodies) audited by peer review.
ExVeritas is pleased to announce that we are one of the first Certification Bodies verified and accepted for IECEx Assemblies to DS 2015/001A

About ExVeritas and IECEx Assemblies
ExVeritas is uniquely positioned to deal with assembly verification, as we can certify assemblies ATEX, IECEx and also conduct the CE Marking necessary (EMC, Electrical, Machinery, etc.). We can issue UKAS accredited initial inspection certificates to EN60079-14 and we also have our proprietary cloud based iEx system to record all of the initial inspections to schedule and automate future inspections and preventative maintenance (as required by non electrical concepts such as c and the new IEC based Ex h concept)
