ExVeritas Accreditation and Control

ExVeritas are a privately owned and funded limited company. We are not part of a group or larger organisation, we specialise in what we do and have complete control of the processes.

ExVeritas understands the importance of impartiality and potential conflicts of interests in carrying out its; laboratory testing; management systems and product certification activities.

Our procedures are safeguarded by an impartiality committee made up from independent experts covering various aspects of our scope, the representatives are drawn from major blue chip oil and gas manufacturing, processing and drilling companies together with smaller manufacturers and legal or accounting experts. Our independence, impartiality and fairness in the certification process is assured by this process and our Accrediting Bodies (UKAS and IECEx).

To further assure projects, we have full commitment from all our operatives through an impartiality agreement and all projects are assessed for risks. All of which is reviewed annually as part of our Management Review process.

Conflicts of Interest are managed through our comprehensive complaints and appeals procedures. Complaints and Appeals can be made to ExVeritas by following this process

ExVeritas was  awarded the ‘Queens Award’ for Enterprise in 2018, this is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a company in the United Kingdom and demonstrates financial and business integrity, growth and sustainability.

 UKAS Accreditation

Exveritas are accredited to ISO/IEC 17021:2005, ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and ISO/IEC 17065:2005 by UKAS, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service who are the sole national accreditation body recognised by Government to assess against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services. UKAS is licensed by BIS to use and confer the national accreditation symbols (formerly national accreditation marks) which symbolise Government recognition of the accreditation process. UKAS accreditation provides an assurance of the competence, impartiality and integrity of conformity assessment bodies. UKAS is highly respected and internationally recognised.

Exveritas are accredited to by UKAS, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service to issue ISO9001:2015 Certification. If you are seeking qualification for public sector tenders or tenders from large blue chip organisations (as is common in the oil and gas industry or with utilities) then the expectation is that you should have an ISO certificate from a Certification Body which is accredited by UKAS.

ExVeritas is accredited by UKAS to offer an accredited ‘flexible’ scope’ scheme and if you require certification that doesn’t appear on our scope we may be able to accommodate your specific Standard under this scheme. Please contact us for further information on this detailing the Standard(s) you require for certification and view our accreditation certication below (PDF)
