Climatic Testing

Temperature and humidity can have detrimental effects on a product and many manufacturers state an operating or safety temperature and humidity range without testing their products.
Our climatic testing and conditioning can meet a variety of environmental test requirements. We can offer temperatures ranging from -60°C to +300°C for both endurance and cyclic testing. Humidity or damp heat conditions can be achieved over the range of 25% to 95% Relative Humidity (RH). ExVeritas are accredited by UKAS as a Testing Laboratory to  ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for ATEX Testing and CE Testing
European Directives (translated to law in member state countries) require that many of mandatory tests are carried out at the specified worst case temperate or humidity, for example, if you are claiming compliance  with the Low Voltage Directive, electrical break over tests should be carried out at the maximum humidity specified in your instructions (normally at least 50% RH). Climatic testing and conditioning for ATEX and IEC Explosive Atmosphere Certification normally takes 4 to 5 weeks so it is vital that it is scheduled as it is commonly the critical path in a certification project.
Other tests often connected by Exveritas with climatic tests include:

  • IP Testing
  • Thermal Shock
  • Immersion
  • Over pressure
  • Temperature Testing
  • Humidity Testing
  • Reliability demonstration
  • Low temperature
  • High temperature
